Dr Neil Shastri-Hurst, Member of Parliament for Solihull West & Shirley and former surgeon, has been campaigning in Parliament for better health provision for the constituency.
Following on from the progress he has made in Parliament, Neil has welcomed over £13.5 million in additional funding for essential health services. This includes extra funding for smoking cessation programmes, addiction recovery, family and school nurses, sexual health clinics, local health protection services, and public health support for local NHS services.
Dr Neil Shastri-Hurst MP said:
This additional investment will make a tangible difference to the lives of my constituents. Securing new investment for our local NHS is the top priority in my plan for Solihull West & Shirley.
In recent months, I have been meeting with local GP practices and the Integrated Care Board to discuss improving NHS services and enhancing urgent care provision. I look forward to continuing our close working relationship, in order to deliver better NHS services for my constituents.
